THE CHALLENGE
Upon completion of the design of Ovations LIVE! Showroom, JCJ Architecture was so impressed with the work of Muzak, M&M Productions, and Starway Productions that this partnership group was also hired to provide consultation for the audio, video and lighting systems for this new nightclub. The 6,000-square-foot club would be the first upscale club in Chandler, AZ - a 30-minute drive to nearby Tempe, AZ was the necessary destination for a big night out. The club-within-a-casino concept is seen all over the Vegas strip, but this high-end nightspot would be the first for a Valley casino.
THE SOLUTION
Muzak visited nightclubs around the Valley with the intent of designing and delivering an experience unlike any other in the Phoenix metropolitan area. The audio system provides extended frequency response to provide pumping rock remixes and fresh hip hop mash-ups that make your body want to move. Everything about Airia was meant to inspire exhilaration. The lighting system provides intelligent lighting and LED fixtures for fantastic dance floor lighting effects with brilliant visuals. The video display system is state-of-the-art with eight 65” displays, twelve 42” displays, six 17” displays and three high-resolution projectors “warped and edge blended” on to a custom 21' curved screen placed above the bar. One of the highlights of the video system and the nightclub space is the custom LED video screen above the DJ booth. This screen is comprised of sixty-two 2” x 96” LED color tubes that will display any image from a dedicated LED display computer. All video sources can be displayed on any screen in any configuration with the A/V matrix-switching system.
THE RESULT
AIRIA is an energetic nightclub surrounded by the excitement of a world class casino. Brilliant visuals, a thumping sound system, and high-tech lighting create one of the most sophisticated and stylish venues ever seen in the Phoenix area.
